Senior Insurance Risk Manager
Salary: circa £110,000
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Insurance Risk Manager to join our team. This is a newly crafted role which would be perfect for a highly motivated and technically astute London Market and Lloyds expert to join a varied, agile and visible team in driving and influencing the appropriate understanding and management of risks and opportunities and to support Aviva Insurance Limited’s (AIL) UK as it looks to integrate its newly acquired Lloyds Syndicate, Probitas.
A bit about the job:
Working across the business to support the Head of Technical Insurance Risk and the Risk Business Partners, you will provide key expertise to identify, coordinate and partner the business on its risks and opportunities with a focus on the integration and ongoing success of our London Market and Lloyds-based business (including Probitas), a key growth area for the business. This will include leading on the evolution of Aviva’s Risk Management Framework to safely integrate and maximize the potential across our Lloyds and GCS business, working closely with both the AIL and Probitas CROs to achieve this; providing ongoing business review, challenge and decision support across that business area; and contributing to key risk reports. Supporting targeted deep dives on emerging risk themes is also a key aspect of this role.
This role ultimately supports the Aviva Insurance Limited’s Chief Risk Officer, our Risk Business Partners and Insurance Risk Leads to provide oversight across AIL, ensuring the continuing effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Risk, underwriting, pricing, finance and/or capital professional who is driven, curious, commercially minded and ready for a challenge
2. An expert within Lloyds and Commercial Lines insurance is a key requirement for this role
3. Analytically minded with the ability to articulate difficult and complex issues precisely and accurately to senior stakeholders and decision makers
4. Proven ability to review and appropriately challenge material business decisions, taking ownership of issues and building collaborative relationships across the three lines of defence
5. Ability to spot emerging trends, potential risks and opportunities to the business with a clear articulation of the impact these might have on key performance metrics and risk appetites

6. Salary circa £110,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
7. Bonus opportunity -12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
