Location: Crick, Northampton (NN6) Salary: Competitive EXCELLENT BENEFITS 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension Healthcare scheme Life assurance Employee Assistance Programme Retail discounts Training opportunities 37.5 hours per week – 1 pm finish on a Friday Job Description As a Stress Engineer, you will be accountable for the safe, reliable and optimised structural design of aircraft seating across multiple programmes. Working with the Engineering, Lead Engineers, and Certification teams, you will ensure that our products meet the regulatory guidelines and requirements. You will ensure the customer brief is adhered to in accordance with the programme delivery in terms of structural integrity (strength and impact resistance), stiffness, cost and weight. To be successful in this position, you will have/be; A mechanical, aeronautical or related engineering degree (or equivalent) A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the engineering industry Ability to undertake fundamental engineering hand calculations, including determining load cases and stress/stiffness analysis A minimum of 2 years of industrial experience using an FEA system Experience in working on multiple projects in accordance with the milestones given Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative ideas Diligent, enthusiastic and driven, with an excellent work ethic and a “can do” attitude Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage conflicting demands Good personal time management and comfortable working to deadlines Highly adaptable and capable of making decisions in a fast and pressured environment Committed, flexible and able to multi-task.
