The Building Control Surveyor's Role
The successful Building Control Surveyor will be joining a vibrant team, dedicated to maintaining high safety standards across various construction projects. The Building Control Surveyor will be responsible for inspecting and certifying building works, ensuring compliance with BSA and other relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Compliance and Inspection - Conduct thorough inspections of building works to ensure they meet current regulations and standards, including the latest BSA .
2. Documentation and Reporting - Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications.
3. Advisory Role - Provide expert advice to clients, contractors, and architects on compliance matters and safety improvements.
4. Collaboration - Work closely with other team members and departments to deliver projects successfully and ensure safety standards are integrated from the design phase to completion.
The Successful Building Control Surveyor Requirements
5. BSA Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Building Safety Act regulations.
6. Experience: Proven experience as a Building Control Surveyor, Architect or Design Manager preferably within a consultancy environment.
7. Qualifications: Relevant industry qualifications such as MRICS, MCABE, or equivalent.
8. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset to work efficiently within a team.
