The Building Construction Products Division Engine Systems Team is looking for a Cooling System Engineer to be responsible for the cooling system designs on multiple machine platforms for the Back Hoe Loader (BHL), Compact Wheel Loaders (CWL) and Telehandler (TH) products. Your role will be responsible for defining cooling system requirements at the start of any new product development cycle, utilize analytical tools to determine optimum system design, and collaborating with our purchasing team to evaluate various supplier’s cooling system components. In addition to upfront system design, you will be responsible for all cooling system validation activities including test planning, data analysis and effectiveness of cooling system to meet requirements.
What you will do:
1. Establish cooling system requirements with inputs from other machine systems including engine, interior/exterior machine sound, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems
2. Responsible for cooling system installation development, including fan selection and shroud design
3. Extensive collaboration with cooling system component suppliers and internal purchasing resources to find solutions optimized for performance and cost
4. Responsible for all cooling system validation activities including analysis, test planning and post processing test data
5. Resolve any issue found during development or on customer machines with robust and fully validated solutions
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):
6. Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to use tools and techniques to analyze data and determine the root cause of complex technical problems and create alternative solutions.
7. Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate, and test product design drafts.
8. Product Design and Development: Knowledge of construction products, ability to design, build, and develop a new product from concept through to production.
9. Project Management: Proven ability to perform complex assignments, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills are required. Willing and able to collaborate with international teams in various time zones.
Top candidates will also bring:
10. Previous experience in leading cooling system design from concept to production.
11. Strong knowledge of Back Hoe Loaders, Compact Wheel Loaders or Telehandlers
12. Knowledge of engines and engine installation design.

Job Title: Cooling System Engineer
Salary: £45,000-£54,000 depending on experience
