My client, an industry leading tier one civil engineering and construction firm are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Rail division on a temporary contract in the North East of England.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the most prestigious rail projects in the North East of England.
Candidate responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and produce reports of findings. Follow through on findings to satisfactory closure.
2. Provide expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and BIM 360 Field checklists.
3. Collaborate with project teams to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures.
4. Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance instances.
5. Collaborate with Integrations Teams to proactively work on EiS, AMP and Health and Safety Files.
6. Support the development of quality-related training materials for alliance-wide dissemination.
7. Investigate and analyse non-conformance incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective action and identify trends.
8. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of site quality documentation in alignment with company standards.
9. Collaborate closely with project teams to gather all necessary quality documentation throughout project life-cycles.
10. Monitor progressive assurance of ITPs by the delivery teams to ensure that checklists and quality verifying records are being created contemporaneously.
11. Carry out audits in line with the Audit Schedule and report findings and follow through to satisfactory closure.
12. Support delivery of H&S Files within site teams.
13. Provide training to project teams on quality standards, processes, and tools.
Candidate requirements:
14. Graduate in relevant discipline OR professional qualification (e.g. CQI Diploma (Level 5)).
15. Membership of the CQI or other relevant professional body.
16. Internal Auditor
17. Proven experience within a live rail environment with similar complexity and risk, sufficient to understand and review end to end processes and propose quality improvements.
18. Ability to form effective working relationships with Stakeholders
19. Network rail experience would be advantageous
