We are looking for Bank Workers to join our busy Linen Decontamination Unit. This thriving department provides essential services to the hospital, as well as other NHS Trusts and Units across the South West. We are keen to find enthusiastic, friendly and highly motivated people who can work well in a busy environment and to the standards required of a modern facility providing an essential service.
Duties include the receipt, grading and classification of used linen, the high speed, high quality finishing of clean linen items, packing, vehicle loading, despatch and various other duties. You will be required to operate a variety of industrial washing, decontamination and finishing equipment, maintaining high productivity to meet operational demands. You will need to be flexible, physically fit and have the ability to carry out highly repetitive tasks as well as accurately completing production and packing related documents.
Working hours for LDU on weekday shifts are 08:00am to 16:00pm, whilst on weekends, you may be asked to work a 06:00am to 14:00pm shift.
Whilst we are looking for Bank workers in Linen Services, we also welcome applicants who are looking for other opportunities to work in our other Estates & Facilities departments too. If you would like to know more, please get in touch.

Working Pattern: Varied Shifts Available

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
