London Salary up to £100,000 / National Salary up to £95,000.
Aviva are looking for a dynamic Principal Data Scientist to support our Global Corporate & Speciality (GCS) Team! The insurance industry is evolving in an age of rapid technological development, and as an organisation Aviva are investing in strengthening machine learning and analytics as a distinctive capability.
A bit about the job:
Working in partnership with the GCS leadership team you will be accountable for the design and delivery of successful AI solutions across GCS. You will ensure that robust solutions are available to support decision making across the business, provide thought leadership around advanced analytics and AI development and ensure that GCS has the capabilities needed to achieve its ambitions.
Importantly, you will also play a critical role in Nova - our end-to-end business transformation programme, of which data and AI are key priorities. This role will play an active and crucial role in the design, delivery and adoption of the new data vision for GCS. Building and executing AI strategy in support of GCS priorities, gaining leadership team support and aligning to broader Aviva standards and principles.
Skills and experience were looking for:
1. Experience in driving meaningful data-led transformation
2. Ability to effectively lead a diverse team and connect with Senior stakeholders from across the organisation
3. Ability to work collaboratively to evolve and deliver effective strategies
4. Deep understanding of AI and ML including best practice, technology and architecture
5. Understanding of approaches to risk management and data ethics principles

1. London Salary up to £100,000, National Salary up to £95,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
