The Role
As an Emergency Care Practitioner, you’ll assess and manage patients with acute injuries and illnesses. Your duties will include: conducting comprehensive physical assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and making timely treatment decisions. When necessary, you’ll administer life-saving interventions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Additionally, you’ll be responsible for stabilising trauma patients, providing pain management, suturing wounds, and managing a wide range of medical emergencies.
You’ll be able to work well under pressure, make fast judgement calls, communicate calmly and professionally with patients, their families and the wider healthcare team, and deliver exceptional standards of care.
