Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinically focused, highly motivated pharmacist who wish to expand their experience by working on-site and in A General Practice within the Banstead - Surrey PCN.
You will be enrolled on an 18-month national training program, including attainment of an independent prescribing qualification (if applicable). You will also be supported by a national network of pharmacists who are undertaking the same journey.
Main duties of the job
Using GP systems (either EMIS and System 1) you will support practice sites with medicines related tasks, this may include but is not limited to:
1. Resolve medication-related issues Helping to utilise skill mix Improve patient outcomes Ensure better access to healthcare Support practice staff with prescription and medication queries Medicines reconciliation Provide expertise in clinical medicines advice Providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement

Job responsibilities
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role, working with colleagues to help resolve medication-related issues, helping to utilise skill mix, improve patient outcomes and ensure better access to healthcare.
You will support practice staff with prescription and medication queries. Help support the repeat prescription system, deal with acute prescription requests, and medicines reconciliation, providing expertise in clinical medicines advice while addressing both public and social care needs of patients.
