Part Time Purchasing Assistant - Surrey - up to £40,000 Pro Rata + Benefits - 1779
I am currently recruiting for a Part Time Purchasing Assistant to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Surrey. Salary up to £40,000 Pro Rata + Benefits.
The organisation has been established for over 30 years and are renowned for the best at what they do within the defense and military sector on a global basis. They are a small yet specialist team employing close to 50 people, but turnover is over £20 million annually with that figure set to continue moving upwards based on the ever-increasing demand for their products and systems.
To support the business with the current workload and in line with their expansion plans they have the need to appoint a Part Time Purchasing Assistant, which would be 3 days p/week, however it could be flexible either way for the right candidate.
In this role as a Part Time Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for working closely with the engineering team to procure the necessary components and equipment for their projects. They engineers source the quotes, so this is purely an execution role and additionally as a result you will be required to raise all the necessary POs. This will span across into general office procurement as well in which you will be purchasing any necessary supplies. You will be expected to chase up suppliers to ensure that everything is coming in on time as planned and if not communicate this internally, whilst also finding a suitable resolution. Obtaining certificates of conformance from the suppliers will also form part of the role when required.
