We are seeking an enthusiastic mental health nurse to become part of our award-winning service. We are looking for a Mental Health Nurse (NMC) to work part-time ( hours a week)
This is an exciting opportunity to work in and contribute to the effectiveness of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIIP). EIIP has good outcomes for its clients, and staff find it a very rewarding job based on positive outcomes and working closely with clients and their families.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic person. You will be a team player who is creative and innovative in your approach, along with a range of experience to join our multi-disciplinary team.
There will be opportunities to develop your skills in Bio-Psychosocial Interventions as well as further PDP opportunities.
The team is based at Unither House, Chertsey with a satellite base at Aldershot Centre for Health. You will be an allocated a patch to work within and this post will be covering the North East Hampshire area (, Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot) with some flexibility to work across the patch as required.
You must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Main duties of the job
EIIP Services have developed nationally in line with the NICE guidance and NHS England. The EIIP Service provides early detection, assessment and intervention for 14-65 year olds who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis in Surrey and NE Hampshire.
The aim of the service is to reduce the impact of the emerging illness on the individual and their families. The service is based on an outreach model with the interventions being delivered alongside individuals in the community. NICE recommend care plans that include individual CBT, family interventions, physical health monitoring, occupational/vocational support as well as medication are offered.
The post-holder will have continuous overall responsibility for the management and care coordination of an identified group of people who use our services.
The post offers excellent opportunities to develop special professional interests; share expertise and work closely with an extensive MDT. Training, good support and partnership working is offered.

1. RMN first level registration (valid NMC registration)

2. Evidence of post-registration Training /qualification and continued CPD
3. Venapuncture training or equivalent
4. Teaching qualification, Mentoring or other specific job related post registration qualification

5. At least one year post qualified

6. To have a good level of experience as a caseworker and CPA Care Coordinator.
7. Good knowledge of working with people with psychosis
