An excitingopportunity has arisen at Somerset County Cricket Club to join ourSport Science and Medicine team. We are looking to recruit a GirlsPathway Lead Strength & ConditioningCoach
You will be responsible for planningprogramming and delivering a physical development programme thatoptimises the physical progression of pathway players along withfocus on wider strategy around longterm athletic development withconsiderations around female growth and maturation. Youll work inclose collaboration with the wider SS&M team Womens SeniorS&C Pathway Physiotherapist Girls Academy Lead and Directorof Talent and Development to ensure players have the physicalqualities to transition into the professionalgame.
Amongst other essential criteria youll needto have an undergraduate qualification within the sporting field(or equivalent) and a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) instrength and conditioning or be working towards this. You will needto have or be working towards UKSCA accreditation. Alongside thisyou will have demonstrable experience delivering strength andconditioning programmes in the sporting environment in particularyouth development
To thrive in this role youll beapproachable reflective and empathetic with the ability to buildrelationships and work collaboratively. You are organised diligentand motivated. You can work under pressure and have strongdecisionmaking capabilities.
Given the nature ofthe role any appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBScheck. If no ECB DBS is already in place this check will be carriedout by the Club.
Please note that working hourswill include evenings weekends and bank holidays along withdomestic and potential international travel.
Youwill need to be eligible to work in the UK.
