Job Description:
A key role within the European Tax Team with involvement in a wide range of activities including tax reporting, compliance, transfer pricing and global advisory projects for our multiple entities and jurisdictions across Europe.
• To join the European Tax Team based in the UK, managing a team of 2 and reporting to the Senior Tax Manager
• Coaching, mentoring and training team members
• Responsibility for preparing and reviewing tax provisioning for European entities for quarterly US GAAP reporting using OneSource.
• Preparation and review of tax provisions for UK and Ireland statutory accounts, including liaising with external auditors as part of Group and Local audits.
• Liaising with external advisors to complete and review UK and Ireland corporate tax returns and associated tax issues such as Anti-Hybrids reviews, CFC reviews and R&D Claims
• Involvement in cash tax forecasting, arranging tax payments and ensuring tax filings and requirements are met in a number of jurisdictions.
• Reviewing and co-ordinating the transfer pricing documentation and implementation of intercompany agreements and policies for European entities
• Involvement in the preparation and implementation of the Pillar 2 requirements with the US tax team
• Coordinating global tax advisory or restructuring projects being carried out in Europe including assistance with accounting, legal and tax implications and liaising with external advisors.
• Management of legal entity rationalisation projects in Europe, including working with external advisors and internal finance teams to progress liquidations or mergers.
• Assistance with maintaining appropriate tax governance frameworks including SAO, CCO, tax strategy and SOX internal controls for tax processes.
• Involvement in any tax audits and interactions with tax authorities within Europe
• Coordination and analysis of cash repatriation opportunities within the global group
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Post degree Accounting/Tax qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA,
• Big 4/Top 10 Accounting Firm experience, and experience within a large multinational a plus
• Experience of managing others
• Significant tax accounting experience under IFRS (and US GAAP a benefit)
• Experience of UK/European tax legislation a plus
• Willingness to travel within territory, with occasional travel elsewhere in Europe and US for specific training.
• Must be able to speak English and other European language skills would be advantageous.
