About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Design Director to take a vital leadership role in our award-winning creative team at McCann Bristol. You will work alongside McCann Bristol’s ECD and lead a team of designers and creators to deliver fresh, engaging and effective work for an enviable list of UK, European and global brands.
You will be comfortable in the biggest boardrooms, presenting alongside our expert team and leading the charge for creativity. Your client list is an impressive one, led by work that we deliver for brands in the fast-growing employee engagement space including: British Airways, Just Eat, Reckitt, Aldi, Sky, Vodafone and NatWest (among others).
You will naturally come from a design background, with a real passion for your craft. Design is arguably the fastest changing part of the creative landscape, with the advent of AI and the continual advancement of new tools and processes. You will have access to a wealth of design resources within the McCann network, including full production facilities and content studios. And you will be on a mission to grow our design team, mentor our talent and ensure that our design capabilities are best in class and futureproof.
You are also likely to have a strategic sensibility and be comfortable articulating brand narratives, positioning statements and campaign rationales to your clients. You will be experienced in helping planners to shape briefs that can act as a creative springboard and you will have a good intuitive understanding of how to scope work for your teams.
