About the role
We'relooking for a Digital Engineering Apprentice to join our team in our offices atRingwood in Hampshire. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunityto help us deliver retirement living schemes. This role will be on amulti-disciplinary basis and has an Architectural and Structural design bias.
Youwill learn the digital skills used to develop our planning application andtechnical project designs, creating Sketchup and AutoCAD models/drawings,working with building engineering data, all whilst collaborating with a team ofChurchill Retirement Living’s Design and Construction professionals. Below is alist of some of the activities you can expect to be doing when you join ourteam:
13. Production of architectural and engineering drawings, using computer generated 3D or 2D models
14. Contributing to finding solutions to design challenges
15. Taking part in design meetings, site visits, presentations, workshops, etc.
16. Alongsideyour formal education at one of our local partner colleges, you will developyour skills via on-the-job trainingwhilstworkingalongside other members of our team who will work with you day-to-day to provideyou with the support and guidance you need to progress your career.
Year 1
You’ll gain experience of working in the three core areas of design in the business on rotation during the first year. These being:
17. Group Construction and Commercial’s Technical and Structural Engineering Design teams
18. Southwest Regional Architectural Design Team
19. Southwest Regional Technical Design Team
Year 2 & 3
Duringthese years there will be the opportunity to specialise in two of the areasrotated during the first year.
Exposureand overview understanding will be provided throughout the apprenticeship toaide with studies and to enhance collaborative working practice.
Throughout yourapprenticeship, you’ll have access to our multi-disciplinary approach to designand construction. You’ll also be able to learn through webinar training andhave the opportunity to receive knowledge and understanding of widerconstruction disciplines, providing a respect and appreciation for thisenriching and diverse industry.

What Qualification do I get?
Youwill gain 3 qualifications as part of this programme:
DigitalEngineering Technician Apprenticeship
BTEClevel 3 in Construction and the Built Environment
NVQlevel 3 Diploma in Built Environment Design
What opportunities are there for progression?
Ifyou do well on this apprenticeship you could follow on to apprenticeshipqualifications at level 4, and degree level to further your career as anArchitect or Architectural Technologist or Structural Engineer
