Job summary
This post holder will be the hospital lead for patient flow and hospital coordination. The post holder will work with clinical and operational leads to support and deliver an efficient and effective service that contributes to the achievement of national and local performance standards. The Duty Manager team operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Overview of the Post
1. Day to day responsibility for patient flow and hospital coordination issues.
2. Be a visible clinical senior presence throughout the hospital site.
3. Support and manage the Site Coordinators.
4. Chair the operational bed meetings.
5. Support the urgent capacity meetings.
6. Interface with external partners in relation to patient flow issues.
7. Support the director of operations and the divisional teams with strategic planning.
Main duties of the job
We are adding to our existing team of Duty Managers who work 24/7 across both our hospital sites, we would very excited to hear from you if:
8. You have experience of working on an acute hospital site, particularly as a senior nurse, AHP or operationally and understand the patient flow.
9. You are enthusiastic and positive about making changes within the organisation.
10. You can work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues from lots of different backgrounds.
11. You have the confidence to make decisions based on the information you have at that time
12. You can stay cool, calm and collected when others might be struggling or need a plan.
13. You enjoy working with lots of people and moving around the hospital sites to build and maintain relationships - this is not a desk job!
