Our client, a developer of novel battery technology, is at the forefront of transforming energy-storage solutions. They are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Scientist - Ink Formulation to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will focus on screen-printing techniques and optimisation of ink composition and rheology.
The Senior Scientist - Ink Formulation will:
Develop and maintain documentation including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals such as SOP’s.
Maintain awareness of literature, ideate on new potential routes, and propose technical advances.
Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to source components or materials, tools, or services required for cell research and development.
Contribute to the research and development of novel ceramic inks and prints used in cell technologies – with a focus on improvement of consistency and quality of outputs in line with the company roadmap, strategy, and product delivery schedule.
Use feedback from assembly and electrochemical testing to investigate future materials or print techniques that can be applied to cell technologies in order to improve quality and consistency.
The Senior Scientist - Ink Formulation will have:
6+ years of experience working within a battery or fuel cell manufacturing environment.
Specific experience in the printing of ink layers for use in batteries or SOCs.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering or a closely related field.
Specific experience in the development of inks and testing of ink qualities by means of particle size analysis and/or rheological measurements, as well as other quality control techniques.
Experience working within a laboratory and operating within a cleanroom environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
