At Stannah we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Data and Analytics to join the IT Team based at Watt Close in Andover, Hampshire.
This is a newly created position to lead our data governance. The role reports to the Chief Transformation Officer. Stannah is undergoing a significant period of digital transformation. and the Head of D&A role will support this and help the business meet its objectives and goals.
The Head of Data and Analytics is a senior business leadership role that has accountability of the organisation’s data and analytics (D&A) assets. This is to to drive value for business stakeholders through creation and management of data and analytics strategy. And lead related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes.
This role involves establishing, leading and operating the D&A function. Developing talent and mature D&A culture. Building trust and managing data, and evolving business analytics capabilities.
You will have a proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary teams in delivering solutions. You will need to have excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a person who can lead regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets. Business acumen is essential.
Head of Data and Analytics Responsibilities:
Maintain authority and accountability for exploiting the value of enterprise information assets, and of the analytics used to render insights for making choices, automated conclusions and augmentation of human performance.
Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights and use cases that help support the exploitation of strategic and tactical business opportunities.
Build partnerships with executive directors and board members to establish the vision for managing data as a business asset to exploit data and analytics capabilities to maximise the value derived from data assets.
Define data and analytics vision, strategy and associated practices. Manage the creation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of the organisation’s data and analytics strategy in collaboration with the CIO and CTO.
Institute an enterprise governance and operating model for data and analytics
Foster the creation of a data-driven culture
Lead these transformation efforts by developing D&A talent and maturing the capability of the organisation.
Oversee delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data products and to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.
Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.
Head of Data and Analytics Requirements:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Significant business experience, in business management, legal, financial or information or IT management.
Significant years of progressive leadership experience
Experience in integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and information strategies
