Role Description
We are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join the team at Putney. This is a pivotal role in the branch, responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of our transport and logistics operations, scheduling all deliveries and managing the necessary documentation for deliveries and collections. You will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including vehicle and driver hour regulations, operator licence requirements, and health and safety standards.
The role also involves managing vehicle and crane inspections, fuel cards, defect reports, and accident management, while ensuring that all plant and machinery are kept in good repair. As we are a small team, you will be expected to pick up Sales calls in the office when required to keep things running smoothly and must be comfortable with this.
Location: Putney, SW15
Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri
Salary: Negotiable according to experience

Requirements
* Proven experience in transport coordination or logistics, ideally within a Builders Merchants or construction-related environment.
* Strong understanding of UK transport regulations and delivery logistics.
* Routing knowledge of London and the surrounding areas preferred.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
* Knowledge of ERP systems and fleet management software is desirable.
* Full UK driving license is advantageous.
* Attention to detail and proactive in addressing issues.
* Positive, can do attitude.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
