We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our friendly and supportive
Democratic Services Team. Educated to HNC/SVQIII or equivalent, you will have experience in minute taking and the effective use of IT as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Experience of working in committees and elections would be an advantage, however, training will be provided, where appropriate. You will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the Committee Services Team and will be responsible for the despatch of agendas and reports as well as supporting the Democratic Services Manager in the conduct of elections.
The Council is looking for someone who is self-confident and self-motivated, proactive, pleasant and an outgoing demeanour. You should be well organised with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to work accurately and with limited supervision and to prioritise workload in accordance with objectives and targets. You should also be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
