Salary: Up to £39K (including shift allowance)
Hours of work: Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights, 6am-6pm/6pm-6am
Location: Milton Keynes
Overview:
You will be responsible for delivering daily and weekly performance targets and will train, coach & mentor others to succeed in a fast-paced, process environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective communication to achieve 100% compliance with daily production plan.
2. Lead & drive a culture of Continuous Improvement on your line, working cross-functionally to deliver the best output for the business.
3. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene & PPE policies.
4. Maintain good manufacturing process standards across your line.
5. Ensure process department and ingredient stores are audit ready at all times.
6. Be responsible for ensuring that first-time quality is always a priority, instilling this mindset into the rest of the shift team to achieve quality targets.
7. Responsible for correct outputs and quality of product.
8. Plan the day-to-day operation of the lines anticipating situations that could impact our ability to meet the production plan, i.e. equipment failure, material or product specification problems.
9. Identify training and development needs of the Team to ensure effective training, which has a clear benefit to achieving quality and production targets.
10. Ensure that production information is recorded accurately and on a timely basis, using SAP / other systems.
Skills & experience sought:
1. Current/recent experience as a Line Leader or Supervisor within an FMCG environment (3 years +).
2. Experience of training, mentoring, and managing others in a fast-paced environment.
3. Able to set & demand high standards.
4. A clear understanding of Health & Safety & Hygiene standards.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. An understanding of KPIs.
7. A proactive, 'can do' attitude bringing enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for high standards.
8. A 'working together as one' approach, offering flexibility and a commitment to team success.
