Job Title: Technical Compliance Manager
Location: Bilston
Shift: 08:00 – 17:30 (with some flexibility)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 Depending On Experience
Job Description:
A rapidly growing food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Compliance Manager to ensure its factory operations consistently meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness, driving best practices, and fostering a positive food safety culture across the site. The Technical Compliance Manager will oversee a dedicated team comprising 7 X-Ray Champions and 3 QA staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enforce GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout production.
* Oversee and develop the X-Ray Champions team and QA staff.
* Manage and report on KPIs related to X-Ray performance and GMP compliance.
* Lead third-party audit preparation and ensure audit readiness.
* Monitor and resolve factory non-conformances, including trending and root cause analysis.
* Conduct GMP, hygiene, fabrication, and risk audits, ensuring accurate documentation.
* Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Promote initiatives to enhance food safety culture on-site.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of HACCP and BRCGS guidelines (working knowledge of BRCGS v.9 is desirable).
* Experience in food processing/manufacturing, ideally in poultry or chilled food sectors.
* Proficiency in conducting audits and maintaining compliance documentation.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Flexible and committed, with good problem-solving skills.
