An outstanding opportunity for a part time Medical Secretary within the specialtyof Respiratory has arisen.
Would you like to take on a role that provides you with ownership of your workload?Would you like to be creative in your approach and be responsible for supporting to ensure our patients receive the best quality of care by using your skills, experience and our trust's values and behaviours?
You will have medical typing qualifications and previous experience as a Medical Secretary. You will have excellent communication skills and be particularly caring and understanding. Experience in the use of Medisec, Winscribe Digital Dictation, PAS and e-Referral would be an advantage .

Main duties of the job
To manage the office administration of the Consultant and designated medical staff, and provide an efficient and effective secretarial service.
The post-holder acts as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultants and their team.
The post requires excellent organisational skills, medical audio typing, and a sound knowledge of medical terminology.

Essential
1. 5 GCSE's or equivalent, grade C or above. Must include English.
2. Typing qualifications to RSA (Royal Society of Arts) III (Text Processing Level 3) standard.
3. Computer literate to ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) standard or equivalent.

4. AMSPAR (The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists) Diploma
