Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Engineer required for a manufacturer based in Lancing.
Graduate Manufacturing Engineer Position Overview
1. Recommending improvements and driving these forward by taking initiative, responsibility and ownership of the systems.
2. Maintain ultra-high standards of operational hygiene and cleanliness of the facility and associated work areas.
3. Identify and lead projects aligned with the business goals.
4. Ensure documentation related to production is appropriate and update where not.
5. Ensure that product produced conforms to specifications when running machines/samples etc.
6. Minimise/record waste, produce quality product, ensure sufficient stock levels, proactively support the Management Team to enhance the implementation of the production plan and delivery to our customers on time and in full (OTIF) and assist in the delivery of the overall business KPI's
7. Ensure safe systems and procedures are continually in operation and report any near miss incidents appropriately
8. Ensure that communications are clear, effective, concise and act in a non-confrontational manner.
9. Prioritise and deploy the necessary resources/equipment as appropriate to maximise Manufacturing performance.
10. Report any quality related concerns to your immediate Line Manager and/or Quality.
11. Train other staff members in conjunction with the Management Teams requirements and the QMS.
12. Ensure that the correct level of documentation is recorded/evidenced and passed to the relevant person in preparation for spot check audits.
13. Be audit ready at ALL TIMES
14. Support the transition to cGMP compliance and future regulatory requirements.

16. Assist and support others to develop a new, competent culture within the company
17. Pro-actively support the business needs and requirements as and when required. This may include working on,
o Machinery
o Travelling and working within any of our facilities
o Assisting other functions when support is required
18. Assist / lead investigations of quality or other issues and ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with the Quality Management System and customer requirements and specifications.
19. The creation and dissemination of production information both informally and formally via the reporting formats agreed with the Production Manager.
20. Leading of continuous improvement activities, ensuring that ideas from the shop floor are canvassed, considered and implemented as and when feasible.
