Job summary
The post holder is responsible for leading the Quality Agenda. This includes clinical governance, clinical audit, organisational learning, and regulatory Compliance for the Trust. They will have the oversight and compliance with NICE guidance, national standards and national clinical audits. The post holder will, together with the patient safety team in promoting and delivering patient safety across the organisation.
The post holder will support the development of improved performance and service delivery in a range of service areas across the Trust. In addition, they will promote quality improvement across the Trust and lead on a range of programmes addressing performance and service issues.
Main duties of the job
Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Clinical Governance Strategy (including audit and outcomes), Quality Strategy and Quality & Governance Framework for the Trust in line with Trust objectives and priorities. This can include but not limited to changing legislation and regulations and should support continuous improvement and the delivery of high standards of care in line with the Trust's vision and values.
In collaboration with the clinical directorates and corporate services, lead the development of a trust wide work programme for quality improvement, including quality priorities and metrics and communications.
Ensure timely delivery and monitoring of effectiveness and demonstrate the impact on standards of patient caThrough liaison and working with the Board, managers and frontline staff ensure clinical governance and quality improvement concepts become embedded in Trust decision making, planning and performance management process.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Registered in a Clinical Profession, for example, Midwife/ Nurse/ Physiotherapist/ Radiographer
2. Evidence of significant Continuing Professional Development in related speciality
Experience

3. Experience of working as a senior manager (Band 8+) in the NHS
4. Experience of working in a clinical governance related role within the NHS for at least 2 years
5. Experience of managing staff

6. Experience of developing and implementing strategies, policies, guidelines and projects

7. Demonstrable understanding of NHS quality improvement frameworks and requirements
