Our goal is to work with people to develop gloriously ordinary lives throughout our practice which means:
* Travelling within the community and on rare occasions countywide so access to/use of a vehicle is an essential requirement for this role
* Working on either a full or part time basis
* Undertaking assessments of a range of activities of daily living and recommend or prescribe solutions within an assessment centre or the person's own home
* Support people to achieve their desired aims and goals in everyday life.
* Provide support to the occupational therapists and housing occupational therapists as directed.
* Encouraging people to be independent, helping them grow their confidence and to make the most of the support available in their local community.
* You will influence the development of the Occupational Therapy service and the wider adult social care service. You will bring your ideas to the table, and you will be encouraged to make improvements to ways of working.
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
* Hold or are in the process of achieving NVQ level 3 qualification.
* Are not afraid to do things differently to create support that is better for people
* Have experience of working in a caring or supportive role
* Are passionate about advocating for others.
* Are innovative, creative and solution focused in supporting people to be independent.
This is a Grade 12 role with a current salary of £27,711 to £31,067 per annum. Appointments are normally made at the bottom of the salary scale.
