Drusillas Park is an award-winning family attraction and we’ve got an exciting opportunity for a new full-time Education Officer.

Drusillas is home to a range of exotic animals from all over the world including red pandas, sloths, binturongs, macaques, penguins, and anteaters. We are committed to supporting global conservation efforts and achieving the highest possible standards of zoo animal welfare.
Our Education Team are responsible for teaching a range of education sessions to visiting groups, administration of school visits, managing our team of volunteers, and helping to keep our ZIMS database up to date.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is friendly and outgoing with experience of working with animals or in an education setting.
* Has good knowledge of animals and the natural world.
* Can confidently carry out education sessions and animal encounters.
* Can communicate effectively with a range of age groups, members of the public, and colleagues.
* Can successfully manage and develop a team of volunteers.
* Has a positive and approachable attitude with a good work ethic.
* Can commit to working full-time. Whilst the role is generally Monday to Friday, some weekend work is required.
* Ideally, you would live in the local area.
* A full driving licence and a car would be beneficial.
