One of the UK’s leading suppliers of two-way radios, Apex Radio Systems Ltd, is looking to add to its team by recruiting a Sales Advisor to work towards a level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship in their Gateshead sales team.
Overall Objectives:
* To support the company’s growth and profitability goals by helping manage relationships with existing customers and showing excellent business development skills.
* To provide professional and efficient service and advice to all customers through the promotion and recommendation of products.
* To enhance the professional image, reputation, and effectiveness of the company.
You will initially assist the existing sales team by nurturing existing relationships, chasing quotes and discussing new opportunities and technologies that customers may wish to consider. Once trained, the role will include both account management and new business development.
You will possess strong communication and sales skills and will show excellent client relationship skills. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams and show your organized, analytical, and self-starter qualities.

Full training will be provided with the ideal candidate having previous sales, account management or call centre experience, a confident telephone manner, and can build rapport easily and promote the Apex brand.
Core Role Responsibilities:
* Calling businesses to discuss their radio communication needs.
* Pursuing quotations and opportunities.
* Researching and identifying potential new clients and building a database of leads and contacts.
* Booking demos and appointments for site visits.
General Activities:
* Account management.
* Answering incoming sales calls as needed.
* Logging all sales jobs and appointments on company database.
* Updating of opportunities and quotations log.
* Assistance with follow up from marketing campaigns.
* Promotion of Apex on third party portals – I.E LinkedIn, supplier purchasing portals.
About you:
Apex is looking for someone with previous outbound sales or account management experience, or a desire to work in sales, to work within their current Sales and Marketing team.
