We are looking for a motivated Compliance & Business Support Officer, who will embrace new ways of working, ensuring prompt payment of contract payments and invoices across a suite of contracts relating to maintenance and repair works on Hackney’s 30,000+ housing stock. The successful candidate will have attention to detail and experience in performing contract payment functions and/or administrative duties, along with knowledge of ICT systems and applications.
As a Compliance and Business Support Officer, you will report to the Compliance and Business Support Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and delivering accessible information on contract payments on capital delivery and revenue reactive budgets. You will engage with all contract managers, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding completed works. You will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders both internally and externally concerning contract payments. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the wider Housing Contract Delivery and repairs teams, using the council’s financial management system and Housing repairs management system.
It is essential that the candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work both independently and within a team. Previous experience working with datasets, spreadsheets, and knowledge of budgets is desirable, as well as experience in a local government authority. Training will be provided where required.
