Meridian Business Support has an exciting opportunity for a Family Therapist to join our clients based in Warrington, Manchester. Our Client is seeking a Family Therapist to work across child and adolescent inpatient Eating Disorder Services. This is a full-time permanent position, which is an exciting opportunity to provide a systemic family therapy service to the patients receiving inpatient care on our Specialist Eating Disorder Unit and outpatient treatment within our Private therapy service.
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary team to provide assessments and interventions for young people and their families who have been referred to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
Duties include:
1. Working within the standards set out by CQC, QNIC and other regulators
2. Providing excellent standards of evidence-based practice
3. Regularly reviewing and monitoring outcomes of assessments and the effects of treatment in line with goal-based outcomes
4. Active participation in service developments including the use of service user feedback / in-house training
5. Contributing to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols
6. Providing specialist supervision, training, and consultation to colleagues through formulation groups / reflective practice
Requirements
Essential:
1. Educated to MSc level in Family Therapies
2. Qualified Systemic Family Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) via the College of Family Couple and Systemic Therapy
3. Experienced in both 1:1 and family/group work
4. Experience working in CAMHS
5. Experienced in working within inpatient mental health services and outpatient mental health services
Desirable:
1. Previous experience within Eating Disorders would be desirable
2. Formal training in the supervision of a psychotherapeutic modality
3. Further training in a recognised evidence-based psychological therapy
4. Leadership Training
