We are excited to have an opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join the dynamic world of Operational Maintenance Planning on a permanent basis with British Airways in Heathrow!
The Role:
1. Maximise opportunities within the maintenance plan and other key assets through data analysis.
2. Influences the management of resources across departments and projects to meet operational and financial objectives
3. Applying Engineering objectives when making decisions and creating plans
4. Ensures high-quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers and that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner and in line with company Hallmarks
5. May be asked to stand in for Team Leader
6. Support, participate and contribute to continuously improving processes to ensure they are 'value added' cost effective
7. Ensure the best use of hangars, manpower, components and downtime by ensuring tasks are called in the most effective manner
What we are looking for:
8. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
9. A high level of awareness of maintenance tasks or extensive experience in aircraft maintenance planning
10. Ability to plan in a changing and complex environment
11. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and suppliers using different media
12. IT literacy - strong SAP, AirOps and Excel usage
Requirements:
13. HNC/HND/degree level or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject.
14. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
15. Knowledge of EASA regulations, including Part-M and Part-145
16. Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
17. Aircraft technical knowledge desirable
18. Sound understanding of the Operation desirable
