Are you looking for a new challenge to broaden your experience? Then we have an exciting opportunity for an Inbound Assistant Planning Manager to join our Inbound Planning Team. This team is accountable for improving visibility, minimising the commercial impact of delays and facilitating improvements to the flow of all our stock within Clothing & Home.
Although our Merchandising teams are ultimately accountable for stock and the flow of stock from supplier to customer, the day-to-day accountabilities to flow stock in line with sales is fragmented across different departments, including Inbound Management team. This is where this role has an active part to play! By providing teams with the visibility of inbound product flow and impact on commercial plans, you will actively drive targeted improvements in our End 2 End Supply Chain.
NB: To stay close to customers, our support teams work from our Paddington office at least three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected. The salary on offer for this position is £32,000 to circa £40,000 dependent on experience.
What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Supporting the Commercial teams, Sourcing, Network Development, and Logistics Operations in getting the flow of product from Free on Board (FOB) to UK network efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring timely delivery and availability of product in the accurate quantity.
* Communication of all freight delays in a timely fashion and managing actions to mitigate and recover commercial impact.
* Prioritising and expediting inbound POs based on commercial need and within the Network capability.
* Providing On Time and In Full (OTIF) reporting to support and improve availability for all our seasonal launches.
* Working between "network flow planning" and "commercial & operations/planning managers" to ensure intake plans are appropriately phased to improve our network stock cover and stock health to avoid intake roll/delay for any site.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* A good understanding of the fundamentals of Supply Chain Planning (forecasting, planning, logistics operations, sourcing) and Freight & Logistics operations.
* Knowledge of Clothing & Home critical paths for new product launches and how buying and Merchandising processes work.
* Ability to use Excel and Power BI reports to interpret and analyse data, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, pulling together a Data story that you can present to your Key Business Partners.
* An excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and is able to build and develop strong key business relationships.
