Database Application Developer required. My client is the leading independent supplier of building materials in the South-West of England, operating out of 45 sites from Penzance to Worcester. They help people build, sustainably and cost-effective with excellent customer service. They are now looking for an experienced Database Application Developer to join their team based in Yeovil, Somerset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design & delivery of data driven business solutions, providing 3rd line support for internally developed solutions, and being an ambassador for the company.
Position Overview
1. Working with business stakeholders & third-party supplie5rs to capture specific business requirements
2. Collaborate with existing development personnel
3. Produce BI Dashboards and Analytical reporting across multiple data sources
4. Develop efficient EDI systems and data manipulation services to enable system integration and data transfer
5. Develop internal Web Applications and Data Collections Web Forms
6. Undertake essential systems maintenance and solution deployment out of hours to avoid disruption
7. Document developed solutions and transfer knowledge into IT Support to transition into live service
8. Provide advice to management regarding technology
9. Participate in management and project meetings with required.
Position Requirements
10. Solid background developing solutions with MS SQL Server databases
11. System Implantation and deployment knowledge
12. 5 GCSES or any IT related professional qualifications
13. HTML, CSS & XML knowledge
14. JavaScript & Postman Knowledge
15. T-SQL & Advanced SQL queries
16. XML
17. SSIS & SSRS
18. JSON
19. HTTP & ASP.Net – Desirable
20. Epicor BisTrack ERP experience – Desirable
21. Sharepoint, API – Desirable
22. SFTP & Project Management – Desirable
Position Remuneration
23. Monday to Friday
24. Salary £45,000 – 55,000 (Dependant on experience)
