Job Title: Service Team Manager
Specific Territory: Southwest, England
We are looking for a Service Team Manager to contribute towards and manage our team of Service Engineers in Southwest region.
Getinge is a well-respected Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), saving lives through the manufacture and maintenance of a range of medical devices and solutions. Our Service Team is at the forefront of our business, responsible for routine servicing, testing and repairing of our equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference by supervising a team of Field Service Engineers (FSE) to achieve Departmental Objectives. You will be involved in the maintenance, repair and re-validation of equipment within the market segments of Healthcare. You will be required to work to Service procedures in an efficient and productive manner while providing an excellent after sales customer service through effective communication and engagement.
The successful candidate will have a background and relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. Comprehensive training on Getinge's equipment will be provided by our dedicated in-house training team. Through our Career Progression Pathway, all Engineers have their development assessed bi-annually against our bespoke Engineers' competency-based banding structure - meaning that the more you learn and develop, the more you will be rewarded.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Be conversant with relevant industry standards and the Company's Integrated Management System.
2. Carry out service itinerary in accordance with current Company and Service procedures, whilst seeking to optimise use of time and minimise associated costs to help achieve the teams Profit Margins targets.
3. Ensure he/she is fully conversant with products, Company and Local Health and Safety r equirements.
4. Supervise a team of FSE and act as a point of contact and source of advice to the rest of the team.
5. Complete annual Performance Reviews as required by the Regional Service Manager.
6. Work closely with Getinge Service Co-ordinator and Customer contacts to ensure that all work is undertaken efficiently and meets the customer's expectations.
7. Ensure that all team members are utilising the work reporting systems at all times.
8. Ensure that all team members are managing stock levels.
9. Conduct two stock checks per year.
10. To maintain all tools, spares, and equipment within his/her care in a safe working condition highlighting anything unsafe to the Regional Service Manager immediately.
11. Be responsible for the collation and distribution of information, in the RSMs' absence to ensure that all the relevant information is available at all times.
12. To undertake Audits on FSE as detailed within the Companies Quality Procedures.
13. Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately within agreed timescales.
14. Assist in the recruitment of Field Service Engineers.
15. Deputise for the RSM as and when required.
16. Review and monitor with the RSM stock turnover, compliance, SLA and financial turnover.
17. Highlight to senior managers any shortcomings, malpractice or dishonesty contrary to company policies and procedures discovered in the course of carrying out duties.

What you need:
19. A recognised qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering (such as City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification) - Essential
20. Mechanical/electrical engineering experience - Essential.
21. Ideally has experience of supervising a team of engineers.
22. Be conversant with relevant ISO, HTM (or WHTM, SHTM) and other de-facto industry standards, the Company's Integrated Management System - Desirable.
23. Experience of field-based work
24. IT skills including Microsoft Office; experience of using CRM systems such as GForce
25. A strong work ethic and first-rate organisational skills
26. A positive attitude towards working as part of a team and on own initiative, and a willingness to travel and work away from home where necessary.
27. Flexibility and the ability to adapt under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment
28. Excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver the best possible service to customers.
29. Excellent written and spoken English
30. Understands Health and Safety requirements.
