What you’ll do
We're recruiting for a Supply Chain Business Partner to join our IT & Digital team at Vodafone UK. As a Supply Chain Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, by way of building strong relationships across functions and becoming an ambassador of Supply Chain Management, creating credibility, and driving commercial savings throughout the Supply Chain.
Wider responsibilities will also include:
1. Provide commercial support to teams at Vodafone through end-to-end management of the procurement process across the professional services, IT & Digital categories.
2. Liaise with the VPC (Vodafone Procurement Company) category managers for categories where a Global category plan is applicable.
3. Ensure UK Operating company’s views and requirements are understood during the strategy development and represent the UK Operating Company in any subsequent negotiations to deliver best value for the business.
4. Manage the procurement process for key projects, working with the VPC lead for global categories and contracts, ensuring the selection of suppliers with the capability to meet our needs through high service standards, efficient execution, and competitive costs.
5. Assist the business in driving robust demand management excellence (questioning, challenging, and influencing the future sourcing demand) to deliver the best possible outcomes for cost, quality, and delivery.
Who you are
6. Demonstrable commercial experience, having gained a thorough understanding of financial modelling, total cost of ownership, strategic sourcing, and supplier management throughout career.
7. Relevant Category Management experience, preferably in areas that include IT & Digital (, hardware, software, outsourcing, managed/professional services, etc.)
8. Excellent procurement/contract negotiation skills that will allow you to achieve best commercial outcome for Vodafone.
9. Robust understanding of business, with an aptitude for building sustainable relationships to drive increased business performance and best value outcomes.
