What you'll do:
Ideal for an experienced Data Analyst seeking to transition into a junior management position.
Whilst we've made progress following builds and transformation of core data assets, ranging from cloud data lake, domain data marts, data visualisation and data science platforms we know there's still more we can do.
You will be part of shaping of our future from within the Data Chapter as a Chapter Lead. The craft focus areas are Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
This hands-on leadership role within the Data Chapter is responsible for delivering insights, advancing our data strategy, promoting domain-driven and self-serve principles, and furthering people development.
1. Be an ambassador of the Data Chapter and promoting the data strategy, data skills and best practices
2. Work with peers and your team to translate outcomes into relevant insights, promoting self-service and ensuring outstanding results in use of products and solutions
3. Utilize BI tools to create and manage reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
4. Understand how data informs business strategy and combining that with data expertise to deliver new insights and incremental value
5. Participate in the selection and implementation of tools, software and best practices to support strategic goals
6. Be an advocate of data governance and ethical use of data and building trust with partners
7. Be a role model for DLG behaviours, feedback culture and continuous improvement
8. You will also lead a team of data domain experts
9. Working with the people in your team, you will also manage resources, mentor and create motivated and engaged teams
What you'll need:
10. Provide expertise on future direction, informed by with commercial knowledge
11. Leadership capability that is empowering and empathetic. In particular, understanding to the DLG Behaviours (e.g. being curious, empowering teams, building trust and encouraging simplicity)
12. 5+ years of data analysis, digital analytics, data visualisation experience and experience using preferably AWS Quick sight, Tableau, Power BI
13. Experience with ETL, SQL and data modelling concepts
14. Understanding of Agile in principles and practices and tools like Jira and Confluence
15. End-to-end mindset with equal focus on delivery and operational aspects
16. 2+ years of experience with people and craft leadership, supporting people on their growth journeys.
17. Curiosity to experiment and improve, whilst staying aligned on outcomes
18. To embrace a culture of feedback, with the goal of continuous improvement of self and others
19. An interest in staying abreast with, and understanding new technologies as the landscape changes over time
20. Demonstrate confidence in communications with senior-level management
21. Excel in a high demand environment, working on multiple tasks in parallel
Who you’ll be working with:
As a direct report to the Data Chapter Area Lead within the Rescue tribe, you will collaborate closely with Rescue value stream leads, product owners, and other data chapters.
