Biology Teacher

Job Duties:
The Biology Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective biology lessons to students. They must create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. The teacher will also participate in parent-teacher meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
Required Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Degree in Biology or related field
3. Experience teaching biology at the secondary level
4. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum guidelines for biology

A degree in Biology or a related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching biology at the secondary level
Knowledge and Skills:
5. Deep understanding of biology concepts
6. Effective classroom management skills
7. Ability to inspire and motivate students
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
9. Postgraduate qualification in Education
10. Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
The Biology Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. They may need to work additional hours for lesson planning and grading outside of regular school hours. The role involves standing for extended periods and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.
