Shifts: Day shift Monday to Thursday 7.30AM – 4PM, 7.30AM – 3PM Every Friday
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Site Services Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys ensuring sites run smoothly and efficiently. As a Site Services Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining essential infrastructure and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on site facilities, utilities, and equipment, including effluent plant, Steam Boilers, Cooling Towers, Pipe Fitting and Plumbing. Ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
2. Electrical and Mechanical Support: Provide electrical and mechanical support on-site, diagnosing and repairing equipment faults, and performing regular inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
3. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety standards.
4. Site Infrastructure Upkeep: Maintain heating, ventilation, plumbing, and waste systems, coordinating with external contractors where necessary.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, reporting issues to the Site Services Manager and keeping accurate logs for auditing purposes.
6. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in improvement initiatives, suggesting upgrades and enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
About You
1. Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
2. Experience: Previous experience in a site services or maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment.
3. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems is advantageous.
4. Problem-Solver: You are resourceful and quick to troubleshoot, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to solving on-site issues.
