We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Manager to join our Land & Planning team within Vistry Central Home Counties, at our office in Broxbourne. As our Senior Planning Manager, you will help co-ordinate and project manage planning and various consultant team inputs required to promote and implement the large-scale development sites within the Central Home Counties portfolio.

BA/BSc (Hons) Planning Studies and/or postgrad Diploma in Planning Studies
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
Relevant experience in a consultancy or development company, demonstrating site appraisal/negotiation/communication skills and knowledge of planning/legal process

Project manage the promotion of strategic development sites through the planning
system, including the preparation of Local Plan and other representations to local authorities.
Coordinate preparation of planning submissions, including planning applications, EIAs, planning appeals etc., and negotiations with local planning authority and other statutory authorities on s106 agreements and conditions.
Monitor and manage compliance with, and discharge of, planning conditions. Monitoring and management of Section 106 agreements.
Manage and instruct consultants to an agreed scope of works.
Prepare and manage budgets for strategic development sites.
Chair and lead project meetings as required by Project Director.
Liaise, consult and negotiate with relevant external organisations, including co-ordinating public/community consultation and stakeholder events, and liaison with/presentation to elected Members.
Monitor Central and Local Government policies, guidance and advice.
Provide advice and assistance to colleagues and trainees/graduates on planning matters.
Assist in the identification and promotion of new strategic development opportunities and provide advice to the Director as required.
Ensure continued professional development to meet MRTPI or equivalent requirements.
