Job Description
System Developer required in Tipton. Established in 1991, my client is a midlands-based end to end export packing services provider. Based over two sites in Oldbury and Tipton. They are a preferred packing partner to many global organisations.
This role will see the successful candidate drive growth through supporting various departments within the Group. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, implementing, and maintaining various digital solutions across the organisation. The System Developer role plays an essential part in helping to implement and maintain digital transformation within this traditional family run business.
Position Overview
1. Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for new & existing processes/implemented technologies to determine if there is a need for change
2. Re-envisioning various business processes and understanding the role they play, implementing change to improve efficiencies through use of digital technologies
3. Drive system development, build and implement various process changes to meet dynamically changing business needs
4. Manager the wider impact of any process change & articulate to stakeholders pre and post change
5. Design and implement quality of life changes, creating a fine balance between the needs of the system and the needs of the stakeholders
6. Create various reports, dashboards, and data snapshots on request.
7. Facilitate cross departmental IT Projects, managing user groups expectations and needs
8. Maintaining existing be-stoke IT Systems
9. Various Ad-hoc IT Support and Development requests
10. Adheres to the companies quality management system/standard operating/procedures/policies at all times
Position Requirements
11. Bachelors Degree in a Computing related field – Essential
12. Master’s Degree in a Computing related field – Beneficial
13. Visual basic for Applications
14. SQL Experience
15. Python (Pandas, Plotly, Tkinter) experience
16. Use of Microsoft 365 packages
17. Able to manage and prioritise own workloads
18. Problem solving and critical thinking
19. Business Analysis and Process Mapping – Beneficial
20. Data Modelling – Beneficial
21. Experience of using Raspberry Pi’s – Beneficial
Position Remuneration
22. Monday to Friday
23. Salary: up to £35,000 DOE
