Job Description
Commercial Litigation Lawyer/ Dispute Resolution Lawyer – Associate level roles – Global offshore law firm – Cayman Islands
DESCRIPTION:
‘I wish I had done it sooner’ is probably the most common feedback we get from lawyers who have relocated to the Cayman Islands. That’s not to say it’s right for everyone, but if you are looking for a total lifestyle change without compromising on your career path or the quality of your work, it must be worthy of consideration. Your professional life will be advising international clients on the Cayman law elements of major cross border commercial litigation, spanning matters such as shareholder disputes, banking/financial services litigation, insolvency and contentious trusts. It tends to be varied, fast-paced and complex work which requires strong technical skills but also the commerciality and communication skills to take on a client-facing role. The firm has a strong structure in place with a transparent route to progression and plenty of support to help you advance your career at a faster pace than might be typical elsewhere.
CRITERIA:
5. UK/Commonwealth admission (required for work permit reasons)
6. 3+ pqe (required for work permit reasons)
7. Relevant City/ International firm or equivalent experience of high-value commercial disputes
LOCATION:
A pre-eminent global financial centre located just an hour from Miami, Grand Cayman offers you a Caribbean lifestyle with no compromise on quality of work, career progression or earning potential. In the office, you will advise international clients on high-value and complex matters, earning a lucrative tax-free salary. After hours, you live in a place that people spend thousands to visit. You can swim with sea turtles, stingrays or starfish, dive some of the world’s most interesting sites, socialise with friends in one of the many beachfront bars or restaurants, or just relax on the pristine sands of Seven Mile Beach. Check out our attached Cayman Guide for more information.
SALARY:
