Job Description

Our mission is to support teachers and students alike to achieve their full potential supporting teachers to cultivate an environment where physical education is valued just as highly as academic achievement. Founded in, Sports Directory is the number one supplier of Sports education equipment and are specialists in education.
This is a permanent fulltime position with the potential for a term time only contract (39 weeks).
Key Responsibilities:
4. Customer Communication: Contact customers via phone, letter, and email to discuss account details, payment schedules, and resolve any issues related to overdue invoices.
5. Account Record Keeping: Accurately record all actions taken and customer responses on account records to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
6. Payment Processing: Process daily BACS payments and cheque payments weekly, ensuring that all transactions are handled promptly and accurately.
7. Monthly Statements: Oversee the monthly statement run and respond to customer emails and queries related to their statements.
8. Cash Flow Reporting: Update the cash flow report daily with current figures to provide accurate financial forecasting.
9. Payment Entry: Enter all transfer and credit card payments into the system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
10. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts to ensure that statements are accurate and that all cash and credit notes are correctly posted and allocated.
11. Department Liaison: Collaborate with the sales department to address and resolve any queries or disputes regarding customer accounts.
12. Credit Control Email Management: Oversee and manage all credit control email inboxes, ensuring that daily queries are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
13. Problem Account Identification: Identify potential problem accounts and work closely with the finance manager to record and log these accounts for further review. Coordinate with debt management collection services if required.
14. Customer Account Setup: Set up new customer accounts, including conducting credit checks to assess financial stability.
15. Account Holds: Place customer accounts on hold when invoices are overdue by more than 90 days, ensuring compliance with the company's credit control policies.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
16. Attention to detail to process customers financial details accurately
17. The ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating organisation and prioritisation
18. Previous experience in a customer service role and strong verbal and written communication. While experience with account management is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
