We have a fantastic opportunity for a Time Served Electrical Technician to join our team on with Maturation based at the Cambus Cooperage working a 3-shift rotation.
Salary : 49,178.27 (inclusive of shift allowance) + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!
Shift pattern : This role is based around a 3 x 8 hour shift rotation (Mon-Fri), however it will require some weekend work that would be classed as over time.

Cambus is a key site within the Scotch spirit supply chain, handling over 9000 tankers of new make & mature spirit per year through the tank farm, exporting to 35 countries world-wide, the cooperage on site produces over a quarter of a million rejuvenated casks and over 100,000 minor repairs per year for the filling of new make malt & grain spirit. Also located on site is a traditional cask filling store, which can fill over 3 million litres of new make malt & grain spirit and also contains the bodega sherry cask processing plant. Central to our scotch empty cask supply chain, the barrel park on site handles over 600,000 empty casks incoming from our disgorging units across Scotland including 3rd party suppliers and outgoing to our filling stores across the Scotch category network. All in all a very busy production site within the Scotch category.
About the Role:

Electrical Technicians are primarily responsible for Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance & repair, and should have a keen eye for problem solving. The successful candidate must have a knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems and be able to read technical drawings to a high level. Following Health and Safety policy as well as ensuring it is adhered to on sites is a crucial element of life as a technician. You will own and drive asset care IMPROVE activity both directly at site and within the asset care community. Actively taking part in root cause problem solving activities and providing subject matter expertise to ensure required fixes are identified, actioned and implemented promptly. The successful candidate will work Closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups (Mech & C&I) to improve efficiency of operational assets.
Key points you would be responsible for are:
1. Attend asset care/CAPEX/shutdown review meetings along with Asset Care Reliability Business Leader– providing specialist insight into plans
2. Deliver maintenance activities for respective engineering centre/site in accordance with a weekly/daily asset care delivery plan.
3. Ensuring the accurate and regular update of Maintenance Systems.
4. At all times adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and work to all applicable legislative procedures. Responsible for Safe Systems of work.
5. Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
6. Accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.
7. Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.
8. Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required. Responsible for feeding into early equipment management.
9. Make full use of SAP - SAP reporting & recording completion.
10. Review RCM activity on a weekly basis
11. Attend and contribute to SIC process. Complete short interval control documentation on activities.
12. Raise 5 why’s as defined by agreed trigger points. Work with Operators and business leaders to play a proactive role in situational problem solving on shift. Fixing problems and finding solutions via RCPS
13. Participate in site improvement projects, as skills & experience allow
14. Engage in start of shift meetings and performance-based team meetings to raise and address persistent performance issues.
15. Participates in weekly asset care review meetings
16. Anticipate issues and be proactive in approach
17. Support site managers & Operators to build asset care and RCPS capability
18. Attend all daily operation review meetings, contribute to the agenda and complete actions as required
Desirable to have.
19. Able to interrogate and fault find PLC systems.
20. Knowledge of machinery safety. (light curtains and key enter systems)
21. Awareness and understanding of automation and conveyor systems.
22. Awareness and understanding of pneumatics
23. Valid CompEX 01-06 qualification
24. 18th Edition qualification
