Job Description
We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our Finance Department at our Appleton Thorn site.
As Credit Controller you will help in maintaining the business cash flow through accurate and efficient control of incoming accounts.
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the business and will report directly to the Credit Control Manager
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a market leader.
Job responsibilities of Credit Controller include:
1. To help control 4 main Sales Ledgers
2. Forecasting to assist Credit Manager with the cash flow
3. Carry out credit checks on potential new business using the agreed credit check form
4. Continuous Monitoring of Credit limits and credit insurance.
5. Allocate all incoming payments to customer accounts within agreed timescales
6. Raising Invoices for intercompany recharges.
7. Contribute to month/year end processes
8. Running Dunning letters on overdue debt.
9. Participation in individual Business Sector debt meetings.
10. Generate monthly account statements for business customers and Account ManagersFollow up with contact to customer to pursue paymentInvolve debt collection agency’s where applicable
11. Resolution of customer account queries
12. Support the department where necessary with general administrative duties
13. Keep up to date with news items, vacancies and process updates as detailed on the Intranet system
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Credit Controller you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
14. Previous Credit Control Experience
15. Good knowledge of Microsoft systems including Excel and Word
16. Previous experience with an accounting package such as SAP preferred
17. Good communication skills
18. Able to organise and prioritise own workload
19. Attention to detail
20. Team orientated
