This role will be full time Monday to Friday 38 hours a week (standby/overtime available if required). We are offering a salary from £35,704.36 per annum depending on skills, experience & qualifications, with opportunities to earn extra money through overtime and standby when available.

We are recruiting for a Process Technician with electrical qualifications and experience and would be keen to discuss options of career development with you. Ideally, you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Peacehaven & Uckfield.
You do not need a background in the Water industry; we welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
This role has a focus on compliance, technical problem solving, repairing and maintenance.
As a Field Based Technician, you will be joining our Wastewater Treatment Team, who play a vital part in the frontline of our day-to-day maintenance of, and repairs to, wastewater treatment works, sludge treatment centres and pumping stations to ensure all environmental, quality and customer service standards are met, whilst meeting H&S legislation and achieving budgetary targets.
In this role, you will be utilising your mechanical knowledge and experiences to ensure we remain compliant, reduce pollution, and ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefits of our customers. You will have the scope of opportunity to innovate and introduce solutions, to create continuous improvements into existing processes.
Your core responsibilities will be:
* Undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms and fault finding to identify issues, fix these or escalate, planned maintenance of plant and equipment on a daily basis, installing new plant and equipment as required.
* Coaching, training, and developing staff under their supervision, including the apprenticeship programme.
* Managing projects internally; and updating the necessary company systems and databases as required accurately and promptly.
* Carrying out inspection and tests on electrical equipment following company procedures.
* Gaining quotations for parts, equipment or from contractors for work to be carried out, and providing self-quotations for work to be carried out, so assessment can be made against contractor prices.
* Identify possible future risks and recommending changes in the course of their day-to-day work and to raise these for resolution as required.
* Keeping up to date with new technology and approaches to ensure you can work with existing plant/equipment and are able to identify opportunities to utilise new methods/approaches in your work.
Qualifications required:
A degree, apprentice or NVQ in electrical engineering, with certificates showing your qualifications.

* An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to Internal and External contractors.
* Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work and working in a constantly changing environment.
* Understanding of mechanical or electrical drawings
Desirable:
* ISO9001 procedures
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of standard equipment/tools required of the speciality, and operational processes with its impacts; and manufacture simple parts.
