Registered Children’s Home Manager

£50,000 to £60,000 + performance Bonus

At our two-bedroom children’s home, each day is a new adventure, If you’re excited about leading and managing a small dedicated team that’s passionate about helping children aged 10 to 18 years old with Learning Disabilities then we’ve got the perfect role for you.
You will inspire and lead the team to deliver exceptional care, creating a safe and secure environment in line with Ofsted standards.
Your accountabilities will include the following:
To ensure that our home is fully equipped with the right resources and a capable team that is trained, skilled, and qualified to operate safely and compliantly at all times. To engage and involve the team in implementation of the home’s statement of purpose to ensure everyone’s valuable input is considered and respected.
Ensuring that the children under your care experience optimal physical and mental well-being, while being protected from harm. This will allow them to reach their full potential through a combination of organised education, nurturing, and customised well-being support that addresses their individual requirements.
To lead the performance of the home, continuously evaluating reg 44 report to drive improvement, while ensuring strict adherence to all relevant legislations. Be available to provide support and assistance both on-call and during shifts to ensure that all required care services are completely fulfilled.
Chairing meeting with children and young people / professionals and lead staff meetings, completing rotas, and providing support with training and development. To build positive relationships with key professionals such as social workers, team managers and IRO’s
Skills and Experience:
· Level 5 Diploma in leadership and Management within Children’s Residential care (above or equivalent) or willing to work towards the qualification.
· Have a minimum of 2 year’s experience as a registered children’s home manager or a deputy manager role for minimum of 2 years within a children’s residential setting.
· Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children’s and Young people workforce.
· Experience of working under the regulatory body of Ofsted and managing challenging behaviour including attachment and truma.
· Strong organisational and leadership skills, with proven track record of working and managing conflicting challenges.
· Right to work & live in the UK
· Full Driving Licence
