Supply Desk are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant that will be working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Learning Disabilities, matching you with a school and role that suits your personality and skill set.
The role/ Responsibilities:
You will need to be nurturing, patient and committed to making learning accessible to children that have complex learning difficulties.
Communicate with parents and teachers and provide behavioral and emotional support
To plan, prepare and deliver to students with challenging behavior
Supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis and being able to vary your teaching style and techniques to best suit each pupil and their needs
To implement individual programmes. This may involve writing or contributing to individual education plans
Be creative, innovative and adding value to the curriculum and making the lessons as engaging and as fun as possible
Able demonstrate a strong understanding of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information and show a commitment to safeguarding
