Main Duties of the Assistant Finance Manager
Expertise in preparing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Identify and explain variances between actual and budgeted figures.
Develop and present budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
Implement cost-control measures and improve efficiency.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns, maintain VAT compliance, and reconcile VAT accounts.
Manage customs declarations, ensure compliance with regulations, and monitor customs duty costs.
Align financial planning with company strategy and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Maintain fixed asset register, complete month-end closing, and supervise the costing section.
Assist in audit planning and liaise with external auditors.
Assistant Finance Manager requirements:
Certified in ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Experience of customs and international trade
Experience of VAT returns and customs duty
Experience general ledger and taxation regulations
Knowledge with financial Management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
