Role Overview:
We are seeking a technically skilled, digitally proficient, and inventive individual to join our QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Systems and Data Team. Working closely with the QHSE Systems and Data Lead, the successful candidate will support the technical delivery and implementation of health, safety, and environmental systems, as well as data analytics, digital automation, and reporting for Mitie Group.
Provision of this role will enable the QHSE Systems and Data Lead to focus on strategic direction for a ‘One Mitie' systems approach and deal with more complex requirements, while the candidate takes ownership of technical problem-solving, systems improvement, and data quality enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the management, development, and improvement of QHSE systems and data analytics.
2. Utilize Microsoft platforms (Power Automate, PowerBI, SharePoint, Excel) to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve data accuracy.
3. Work closely with the QHSE Systems and Data Lead and the QHSE Coordinators to identify system issues, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to enhance functionality.
4. Provide data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency across Mitie Group.
5. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (such as LifeLine) to ensure accurate data input, system configuration, and compliance with best practices.
6. Assist the QHSE Systems and Data Lead with the integration of new technologies and tools to enhance system performance.
Key Requirements:
1. Strong IT literacy and technical skills, particularly with the Microsoft platform, including Power Automate, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Excel.
2. Proven experience in essential data analysis, system troubleshooting, and process automation.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think intuitively and address system-related issues effectively.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet technical and project objectives.
5. Strong communication skills to liaise with the team and stakeholders on system improvements and data insights.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
1. Experience managing systems and digital reporting platforms within the QHSE space (experience with QHSE systems specifically is preferred but not essential).
2. Knowledge or experience in health and safety, quality, and/or environmental systems (preferred but not essential).
3. Microsoft Certified qualifications (such as Microsoft Certified 365 Fundamentals, Power Platform Fundamentals, or similar).
4. A DigitalSkills* certification and experience working with data and reports to provide MI and analytics.
