Womenswear Graphic Designer
Person Specification
As a charismatic and outgoing experienced Graphic Designer, you will possess strong creative flair and have a passion for fashion with a desire to join an existing team of 3 other graphic designers. You should be conscientious and a good supportive team member who loves to contribute their experience, skills, and knowledge to become part of an ambitious business that works with some of the most reputable brands in the fashion and music industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Create designs for apparel and merchandise in-line with creative guidelines.
2. Work on new designs to suit customer requirements, briefs, and budgets.
3. Establish close working relationships with license holders and demonstrate how those working relationships are beneficial to the company.
4. Work collaboratively with the creative team on a range of projects and ensure that everyone is on the same page and working together for the overall success of the project.
5. Colour proof, re-touch, and set up artwork for Screen, DTG, and sublimation print.
6. Liaise with external and internal stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met.
7. Offer new and exciting creative ideas for development and present these to the creative team for feedback and progression.
8. Demonstrate enthusiasm working in a fast-paced environment to take advantage of social trends, bringing your expertise to the table.
9. Review, research, and keep up-to-date with current, new, and emerging trends.
10. Work closely with account managers to establish effective working relationships and provide evidence of where this is being implemented.
11. Ensure a keen eye for detail and highlight any issues/concerns with your team.
12. Remain positive, demonstrating a can-do attitude to work and tasks that are being asked of you.
13. Remain committed to the company’s working ethic by offering support to your working colleagues by engaging with them to assist when necessary.
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills:
1. 1-2 years' experience within a creative or fashion industry-focused environment is advantageous.
2. A lean towards womenswear design is preferred, with the intended accounts in mind.
3. An understanding of apparel printing and the design requirements would also be an advantage.
4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator).
5. Proficient in using MAC for designing.
6. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
7. A degree or college level education in Graphic Design or relevant experience.
8. Portfolio evidence of your achievements.
